How do i use an old theme on google chrome?

i was in the web store a while ago and downloaded a new theme, then i changed it today and now i want the old one back and when i go to the store to get my old theme it says installed with a check mark, so i cant install it again, so is there somewhere in options where i can change it back? i really want my old theme back :(|||first go here to Chrome options page chrome://settings/personal and at the bottom click on "Reset Default Theme"

Restart Chrome and go to the link of the theme you want. It should allow you install now

What are some cool things to do with Google Chrome?

I don't use firefox, it's just too slow for my liking. I used to think that about I.E and thought firefox was fast, but then when I discovered Chrome I haven't used anything since. :)

I discovered the background when you go to google or your main page thing instead of themes cause I have a later version. But is there anything else I can do with it? But that aside, I just wanted to tell you a bit about the addons. First, there is a lot of them, and people keep making them and submitting them to the addon site. They are quite useful, and all of them are free. I'll name a few:

Addblock Plus: strips the page of all advertisements, making it load faster. this one's quite popular, it think it has over 95 million downloads.

ReloadEvery: You can set it to automatically refresh the page every X seconds (eg. 1 second). Useful for cheating youtube views.

Fast video download: download any video from a site (youtube, etc.)

One last thing, if you still have firefox, just quickly go on it, and visit http://www.getpersonas.com/en-US/

They have a thing called "personas" which is kind of like a theme. Click on one and press "wear it". Also you can search for personas, since everything is user submitted there is lot's of ones from detective conan, or any other anime basically.

How Do You Set A Theme For Google Chrome?

I want to add a little POP to Google Chrome. I just need to know how. If I go under the Control Panel and click, "Appearance and Personalization" and click Change the Theme under Personalization, it brings up a box with different themes. Google Chrome theme won't work?

The thing is, absolutely none of them do. I can click "Add to Chrome", get a "Confirm Installation", and absolutely nothing happens. I don't get a download bar (it's been a long time since I've downloaded a new theme, so I forget if it appears) or anything. Just the validation window telling me to click "Install" or "Cancel".

I've tried uninstalling and re-installing, creating a back-up folder, pretty much anything I came across.

How to get rid of bars and stuff on google chrome?

I have a light blue one with clouds around it.|||@artim the default theme still uses images, plus, the amount of RAM and speed difference is minimal, go for the themes if you want them.

Google Chrome Won't switch back to classic theme?

I downloaded something that didn't work, but after I uninstalled it I opened google chrome and the theme is just normal and transparent, I want the normal classic blue theme back but when I switch it back it doesn't work, I can change any other theme but not back to classic, I even tried reinstalling google chrome but it didn't work. It's easy!

You just click on the spanner in the top righ corner of Google Chrome and then select options. Then in there make sure you're on the Personal Stuff Tab. At the bottom of the pop up you should see a button that says "Reset to default theme". Click it and tadah, you're done! To get new themes you can click "Get themes" I hope it helped! I'm using the developers version of Google Chrome and you might be using stable or beta so I hope that it's the same on yours as it is on mine.

Rocketdock keeps glitching through Google Chrome?

I am running windows vista with google chrome on default theme. I am also running rocketdock on the top of my screen. Whenever I have google chrome over the top of rocketdock i find it glitches through the google chrome application to show up the icons over the top, and then hide again. I have checked the rocketdock settings and there is nothing in there that is making it glitch through.

Yes. it's actually pretty easy. All you have to do is edit a text file and create the images

after you have the manifest.json and image files, put them in a folder on your computer.

click on Pack Extension and on the window that will open click on Browse next to "Extension root directory" and select the folder with the manifest.json file. then click on OK

the result of this will be a file with a .crx extension created in the parent folder of the folder with manifest.json

To use the theme just drag the .crx file on a Chrome window and when it asks you for confirmation click Continue.

I can't change my Google Chrome theme!?

I'm using my laptop, which has Windows XP.

I want to install a new theme but every time it comes up with an error, "Signature Verification Failed". It also came up with an error about unzipping the extension a couple of times.

I have looked everywhere for a solution and nothing seems to be working.

My version of Google Chrome is 11.0.696.71 and I cannot update for some reason, if that has any effect on the solution...

Were is the folder were google chrome is stored?

I'm trying to download a theme for Google chrome. The problem is each time when I try to download, Google chrome crashes. So I coyed and paste the following web site in Mozilla fire fox https://tools.google.com/chrome/intl/en/themes/index.html

After I successfully managed to download it however I need to know were to save it to so it works|||Well normally when you download a theme for Chrome it installs straight away after saving no matter where you save it. Try saving it on the desktop.

Hope it works, it did for me!

Google Chrome theme question.?

I installed a new Google Chrome theme onto my computer, but I accidentally hit the "Undo" button instead of closing the pop-up bar that said I had installed the new theme. When I go back to the page I installed it from, the "Install" button is now replaced with an "Installed" button. I can no longer click it to reinstall it. Is there anyway I can reinstall it?

alright i know a lot of people or everyone basically says to go to

or something along those lines. but i cant find the "settings" or "tools" button.

maybe im missing something but i just need a little help.|||What you do is look beside the address bar, you see a little wrench? Click it.

Then go to "tools", then "extentions" and click "uninstall" next to the dashboard theme.

That's it!

Google Chrome Theme/Skin Question?

I downloaded a new theme for my Google Chrome but when it opens into a separate window It shows Google Chrome default blue. Is there any way to change the theme or color of this? Or this is permanent?

Try to download a theme file.

Locate the downloaded file.

Right-Click it.

Click on "Properties".

That should re-assign the theme format back to Google Chrome.

How do I switch between google chrome themes?

I've went to settings and extensions to try and find a way to uninstall them and it doesn't have an option for me too. It doesn't even show the themes I've downloaded. But when I'm in the theme store place it says they've been added. And it when I go back to the theme I want and have already downloaded before, it doesn't give me an option to redownload it at all. And it doesn't have an option for it in the settings. What do I do?|||Clear your borwsing data and history. Delete registry and then again follow all the process. It is because google leave the cache on our browser and when it feels some spamy activity, it won't allow your to install more. Ok this is the situation. I downloaded a google chrome theme and it saved as a .crx I put that in to the folder google%26gt;chrome%26gt;application folder and dragged it to the browser. After a while since I did that before with a different theme a message popped up and said "do you allow this site to download multiple files?" and I clicked 'Dont allow' by accident. Now it wont do anything when I drag the file to the browser.|||Once you tell it not to allow, that's what it does, try uninstalling and reinstalling it, works sometimes.

You either:

A: Have a badly coded/'broken' skin/theme.

B: are running the newest version of Google Chrome, which, to my knowledge, doesn't support the themes that have been made in the past.

C: You could've put the skin file in the wrong themes folder.

For A, try finding a few more themes and trying them. If it still doesn't work go to C and make sure you're placing them in the right folder. (It should match the number of the version you're running in GC.)

If that's not it it's more than likely B, whereas I'd just wait for more current skins that are adaptable to this version and/or wait for fixed versions of old skins. =\

To check your GC version, open Chrome, go to "About Google Chrome" then look at the number by the "Your version is up to date" thing. If it says 2.0.172.31 then you have the latest version which doesn't support the old skins. And I don't believe you can turn it back either.

Sorry I'm not more help. Personally I'm looking for adaptable skins as well.

|||Firstly, I know this wasn't your question, but Chrome is ONLY faster than Firefox in streaming videos, most notably Youtube videos, I think they're made to work better with Chrome (because they're both owned by same company). Firefox is faster at just general web browsing for everything other than videos. I personally have both up at all times :] One on each monitor.

I recently installed Google chrome and now I'm using it as my browser. I was excited when I found out that we can customize the themes but somehow I'm kinda lost. I successfully installed a theme but it only appears when I open a "New Tab" After I go to another website the theme is gone. How to make the theme permanent when browsing all websites not just new tab?|||That's a little bit of a disappointment about Google Chrome, you can only see the beauty of the theme when you are at the New Tab page. Head on over to the New Tab page and notice how the theme flows (or maybe doesn't flow) into the tabs and bars at the top of the screen. Now, when you go to an actual website, these are the only parts of Google Chrome that keep the formatting of the theme, the web page chooses background color for the rest of the windows.

For example, I have the Planets Theme, and the picture only covers the content window, not the exterior 'stuff' such as tabs, buttons, and the search/URL bar. There is no way to change this. Sorry.|||I have google chrome too.

Right now when I opened Google Chrome, one of the page thumbnails showed a gallery of differently colored themes for Chrome. Anyone know what the hell is going on?|||themes will be coming out soon when Google Chrome 3.0 comes out. I do not know when this is coming out though. Does anybody know where I can go on my web browser to change my themes back and fourth? I checked in tools, but their is no option and I thought it would be in the extensions part. Any help would be greatly appreciative.|||Heres some links

and chrome dosen't save old themes so make sure you remember it(by bookmarking, shortcut etc)|||I don't think there is a place within Google Chrome where you can switch between themes you have had in the past. However, you can always go to https://chrome.google.com/webstore?categ鈥?/a> and find the theme you were using.

Okay, so you've just downloaded a theme which you though you would've liked, but now it looks stupid. So, to revert back to your original downloaded theme, go to this page in google chrome:

And find the one you downloaded before. Click on install/apply (or whatever it says) and voila! You have got your cool Google Chrome theme!|||download the other one again.

How do I reuse Google Chrome themes?

I had a Death Note theme that I really liked but I decided to try out a few different ones. I didn't like the ones I tried so I went to my downloads to find it again but it wasn't there so I went to my Preferences but it wasn't there either. Can Google Chrome themes give viruses?

I want to check because i had a virus on my last computer and im just wondering if it was google chrome themes?|||no|||altho i never heard of a case of a chrome theme giving viruses i say they deff can. people can make there own themes and then when ppl download them (which i'm assuming you didn't download a google chrome theme for the google chrome theme page) other then a theme theres a little virus in there somewhere. i mean anythings possible. hackers are getting smarter everyday. just run a scan|||I highly doubt they can carry executable code, but then hackers have their ways. If you downloaded them from the official themes gallery then I highly doubt it, but from anywhere else it could be possible. I really don't think that was the source.

They simply download and set within the browser. If you want to pick out your themes and change them, go to the drop-down menu Chrome-%26gt;Preferences...-%26gt;Personal Stuff-%26gt;Click on the bottom one "Get themes" under themes. How can i change Google Chrome Colors/Themes?

|||On your Chrome toolbar (the part of your browser that has your URL and refresh button, etc) you'll see a button at the very right that looks like a wrench. Click that, and select Options.

In Options, there's a Personal Stuff tab, click that and go to the Themes section at the bottom, there will be an option to choose from Chrome themes.

Thanks :)|||There are many possible reasons for this kind of Crashing...

1. System Errors:

Many errors in system or corrupt data in windows registry leads to crashes. First you need to fox those with any good software toll available such as RegInOut. It will also impact computer performance in positive way.

2.Virus or Trojans:

If you find your Computer Crashes, run an updated virus scanner as you could have a virus.

3.Fragmented Disk:

As files are added, deleted, and updated on a disk, the contents of the file can become spread across different sectors located in different regions of the disk. This is called file or disk fragmentation. Disk fragmentation can slow down your machine because the disk heads have to move back and forth to find all the fragments of a file. Windows comes with it's own disk defragmentation tool and the microsoft website explains how to run it.

4.Repair system files:

When trying to solve Computer Crashes problem, the Last Known Good Configuration will only repair the registry data. But if there is something wrong with the system files, it will result in system instability or failure to log in the system. So a scan with the system command "SFC" is needed. Once a file is found to be missing or damaged, you will be prompted to insert the installing CD to restore the original file. You can go to Start -%26gt; run -%26gt; type "sfc /scan now" and then "Enter" to begin the scanning. By the way, please remember to use a patched CD to restore the system if the operating system in the installing CD is an older one, avoiding a restore to an older version.
